NEW YORK | NEW YORK – November 17, 2018 – Tempaper has been named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the “Company of the Year – Consumer Products – 10 or Less Employees” category at the 15th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run– worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners last night during a dinner event attended by more than 550 people at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel in New York City. The event was broadcast via Livestream.

More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 90 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.

Founded in 2008 by sisters Jennifer Matthews and Julia Biancella Au, Tempaper was the first company of its kind to create removable, self-adhesive wall coverings fit for all spaces and tastes. Since then, the sisters have taken even more ground in the industry, forming strategic partnerships with names such as Bobby Berk, Genevieve Gorder, The Novogratz, and CosmoLiving by Cosmopolitan. The product can be found in over a thousand brick-and-mortar stores domestically and internationally.

Tempaper will be ending the 2018 fiscal year with a 20% increase in growth. With key initiatives, including staff expansion and product development, the company is projected to see an additional 20% growth in 2019. Customers can look forward to many new collection debuts next year, including a series of watercolor repeats inspired by the founders’ recent visit to Japan and a chinoiserie-inspired product collaboration with a world-renowned lifestyle brand.

“We are honored to accept this award on the 10th anniversary of our company’s founding,” says Julia Biancella Au, Tempaper CEO and Co-Founder. “We have seen tremendous growth and success over the past decade and it is humbling to be recognized by The Stevie Awards for the work we have done so far. We are grateful for the hardworking team we have at Tempaper that is dedicated to consistently delivering new and innovative collections for our customers.”

Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 business professionals around the world, working on six juries.

“Since inception, Tempaper has challenged us and has pushed us to evolve. It has also constantly entertained us along the way. We have such joy for the company and the team we have established. If we are inspiring consumers and design enthusiasts, then that’s something we are very proud of, said Jennifer Matthews, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Tempaper.
