Thirteen years ago, Tempaper was fueled by a need that didn’t exist in the industry. Co-Founders and twin sisters Jennifer and Julia created the first peel and stick temporary wallpaper company of its kind. Now, we are so excited to be celebrating 13 years in business!

As we celebrate our 13th birthday, we are looking back at our most memorable milestones throughout the years:
In 2006, Tempaper was created! Materials were sourced to start production.
Fast forward two years later in 2008, our website went live with the official launch of our first four designs. It’s exciting to note that 2008 was the year that we were recognized by the press for the first time. Tempaper was published in the Home & Garden section by The New York Times.
In 2010, we attended our first trade show at NY NOW®, formerly known as the New York International Gift Fair or NYIGF®, which has become a modern wholesale market for retailers to sell their contemporary designs in home, decorative accessories, and more.
In 2012, Tempaper headquarters found its home in Brick, NJ, where we’ve continued to expand and grow our business. One year later in 2013, our U.S. patent was granted.
We were excited to launch our first designer collection with Bobby Berk in 2014. You may know Bobby Berk as the interior designer expert in the Netflix series, Queer Eye. Looking back, 2014 was a big year for us. We also started selling our peel and stick wallpaper in Target!
Fast forward one year later in 2015, Tempaper expands to the Japanese market. In addition, our women-owned business became certified by the WBENC, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
We launched Chinoiserie by Tempaper, our special-order program in 2016, and one year later in 2017, our Chinoiserie wallpaper was featured on the cover of Martha Stewart Magazine!
In 2018, we became a 2018 NYCxDESIGN Awards finalist for wall covering. In addition, our Co-Founders Jennifer and Julia were honored with a Bronze Stevie® Award for Women in Business.
We were excited to make the Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing companies in America in 2019, which was also the year that we went live on-air with QVC for the first time!
In 2020, we expanded and released brand-new products, which included peel and stick wall decals and vinyl indoor/outdoor rugs. In the same year, we were excited to surpass an important milestone with over 500,000 units shipped!
In 2021, we are proud to offer over 300 products on our website and happy to announce that we are on track to ship approximately 750,000 units!
Looking back, it’s been a busy and noteworthy 13 years! We are so grateful to all our Tempaper customers who have supported us on this journey. We are excited to see what the future holds in 2021 and beyond!
