Please note: Authentic grasscloth wallpaper is handwoven and hand-dyed using natural plant fibers in small batches. Variations in color and texture are expected and are part of the product’s natural beauty; they may occur not only between different rolls but also within the same roll.

When purchasing multiple rolls, it is important to ensure all lot numbers are the same. If placing a reorder, please include your original lot number in the order notes at checkout.

Before installation, we recommend unrolling each roll and arranging them in advance to ensure a balanced, visually pleasing layout across your wall.

What is Grasscloth Wallpaper?
Unlike our peel and stick wallpaper, our authentic grasscloth wallpaper does not have a self-adhesive backing and requires wallpaper paste to stick to a wall or surface. The top benefits of authentic grasscloth wallpaper are its rich and natural materials, high-end textured look, and timeless design appeal.  

Do you recommend hiring an installer for application?
Yes, a professional installer is recommended. Although this material is pre-trimmed at the factory, the installer may decide to table-trim each edge to achieve a better seam or consistent panel width due to site conditions or unique circumstances.

Can Grasscloth Wallpaper be used in a bathroom?
Grasscloth is a naturally absorbent material. It is not recommended for areas where humidity and moisture can build up.  Grasscloth wallpaper can be installed in larger bathroom spaces where steam, moisture and humidity do not gather.

How durable is grasscloth?
Grasscloth wallpapers are made from natural raw materials.  The product is less durable than vinyl or paper wallcoverings due to the natural fibers and their low resistance to stains.  Also, authentic grasscloth wallpaper is not a washable wallcovering and should only be vacuumed. 

Will you see seams when decorating with grasscloth wallpaper?
Yes, authentic grasscloth wallpaper will always have visible seams. The product is handmade and woven with natural plant fibers that give the finished product a certain unevenness and no pattern match. Corks, micas, and paper weave wallpaper will have seams that are less visible. Since it is handmade and hand-dyed, it is common that shades will vary from roll to roll, and from end to end of a single roll. This is the natural look of grasscloth. 

Can grasscloth wallpaper be used on textured surfaces?
Yes, you can use grasscloth wallpaper on a slightly textured wall.  The wallpaper will stick to the majority of textures. However, the smoother the surface, the easier the wallpaper will be to install and the better it will look.

How do I prep my wall?
Before installing grasscloth wallpaper, you will want to prep your surface. Ensure your walls are smooth, clean, and free of mold, mildew, and stains. You can apply a stain killing primer if needed. It is important to remove old wallpaper and adhesive from your intended surface. Furthermore, you’ll want to repair any holes or damaged wall areas to a smooth finish.
