As you start to narrow down your choices, we recommend purchasing samples. This is helpful for many reasons: 

1. You can test a few options in your space. 
2. Colors can vary in different lighting and from screen to screen. The best representation is a sample. 
3. It gives you the opportunity to live with the pattern for a few days to ensure it is the right choice for your space.
4. You get a chance to try the product if this is your first time applying removable wallpaper.

How to Measure and Prep Your Walls for Peel and Stick Wallpaper

To determine how much wallpaper you will need, it’s important to measure your space and calculate the square footage. We recommend ordering more than you think you will need to account for waste.

Tempaper is recommended for smooth surfaces that are in good condition and have been primed and painted with a satin or semi-gloss finish.

Clean your intended surface by wiping it with a damp cloth, making sure your surface is fully dried before application.

We do not recommend surfaces painted with matte, flat, or low sheen paints. Textured surfaces and exterior surfaces are also not recommended. Learn how to apply removable wallpaper to textured walls.

Apply Tempaper to smooth surfaces that are in good condition and have been primed and painted with an eggshell, satin, or semi-gloss paint. If you are working with a low VOC or VOC-free paint, gently wipe surface with isopropyl rubbing alcohol solution + water (1:1 ratio) and let dry. Household cleaners are not recommended as they can leave a residue behind. Tempaper may not stick to all surfaces so we recommend testing a small area to check for adhesiveness prior to applying to a full wall.

How to Apply Peel and Stick Wallpaper

Follow these steps to install your new peel and stick wallpaper design! 

1. Measure and pre-cut your panels. 
2. Create a vertical guide to ensure a straight application. 
3. Peel back 3–4 ft. of the backing and begin application at the top edge aligning paper with your vertical guide. 
4. Use a squeegee to smooth paper to surface working from the center out. Tempaper can be repositioned as needed to ensure pattern alignment and to eliminate bubbling. 
5. Continue to apply paper until the surface is covered. 
6. Trim where needed with a craft knife to complete your application.
